Mental & Reproductive Health Programme for disabled youth
Mental Health & Reproductive Health Issues are rarely addressed among disabled youth. In collaboration with Youth, Elderly and Disable Health Directorate of Ministry of Health, Provincial Department of Health, NWP, Provincial Chapter of Collage of Community Physician of Sri Lanka and Kurunegala District Secretariat jointly organized an awareness programme for the selected disable youth in Kurunegala district. The programme was conducted at the Auditorium of Kurunegala District Secretariat on 23rd March 2021 under the guidance and leadership of Provincial Director of Health Services, NWP Dr M. K. Sampath Indika Kumara. Following were the resources personals; 1. Dr Indika Pathiraja, Consultant Community Physician, North Western Province 2. Dr Nilantha Balasooriya, Consultant Psychiatrist, BH Polppithigama 3. Dr Shyama Somawardhene, Consultant Venerologist, PGH Kurunegala 4. Mr G. A. Kithsiri, Additional District Secretary, Kurunegala 5. Mr W. M. Amarathilaka Banda, District Social Service Officer, Kurunegala. 6. Mrs Sujatha, Sign Language Interpreter, Social Service Department – NWP
